Hut Land Questionnaire
The village owns a strip of land adjacent to the railway bridge on Hartwell Road, which has been unused or many years. In a public meeting held by the Parish Council on the 15 June, there were many suggestion regarding the future use of this land.
We will be sending a questionnaire to every household asking for your views on this very important matter. We ask that you complete the form within the following 2-3 days so that it can be collected. This will allow us to better understand the views of the village.

We hope that the current ‘Hut Land’ charity trustees, along with Ashton Parish Council
take into account the response to this Questionnaire survey of the village when making
their decision regarding the future of the ‘Hut Land’.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the current Hut Land trustees who have
spent time and effort looking after the Hut Land charity over many years for the village.
A report and full analysis of the data has been provided to the Trustees and the Parish
Council, and will also be made available to those who are interested. Thank you to all
those who took part.

Hut Land - The Old Crown Letter of Support
Overall a concerted and focused effort on getting people informed about a potentially
great benefit to the village as a whole is, in our opinion, the best way to proceed.
As a demonstration of helping where we can, we are prepared to provide those who
help for a few hours on the Hut land, a bowl of soup and a roll for lunch in the pub free
of charge. We look forward with great relish to the prospect of getting something decent
done for the whole village.
Regards, Bex, Ian and Molly Street. ( The Old Crown )
